about penrosevt

Hello! I'm PenroseVT and I'm a lioness vtuber who loves stories, so much that I made my lore to be a character who walks through stories.

I play a lot of RPG-style games, I talk about lore in FFXIV, stream on Twitch occasionally, and make videos for fun.

Currently working on raising funds to get a new PC that can handle my characters and their antics as I'm now learning 3D animation too.

Find me in various places online at the links below.

Born in Ala Mhigo, X’Zumi Sizha is an Seeker of the Sun Miqo’te who grew up in the slums of Ul’dah after fleeing the Garlean invasion with her family. She learned to survive with sharp wit, quick fists, and a will that refused to yield. Early on, Zumi discovered that a bright smile opened more doors than brooding ever could, so she cultivated a sunshine persona to carry her through even the darkest days.

After the Calamity took most of her family, she and her twin brother, set out across the world as wandering adventurers, searching for purpose beyond the borders of Eorzea. Along the way, she encountered Naja Vashai, a mysterious young woman whose path seems inexplicably linked to her own. Though the full story of their connection has yet to unfold, the meeting hints that it may shape the adventures to come.

Warm, charismatic, and quietly resilient, Zumi keeps her scars hidden beneath her easy charm, meeting the future with laughter, light, and a fire she refuses to let slip away.

Nameday: 3rd Sun of the 3rd Astral Moon
Guardian: Menphina
Gender: Female
Race: Miqo'te (Keeper of the Moon)
Eye Color: Yellow in her dominant eye, deep purple in her void eye
Hair Color: Black, though the void energy gives it deep purple highlights
Occupation: Formerly Allagan-made weapon, now unlikely adventurer
Likes: chess, tea, thunderstorms, cold weather
Dislikes: clearly stupid people, emotions
Artisan skills: no.
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Weapon of choice: A specialized crystal scythe that channels her void energy so it doesn't overcome her in the heat of battle.

Naja Vashai is a mysterious young Seeker of the Moon Miqo’te, awakened from the shadows of the Allagan Empire infused with void energy and turbulent aether. She has no memory of her life before waking in the Crystal Tower, nor of how she came to be what she is. Drawn inexplicably to X’Zumi, she convinces herself it is only her aether that guides her, but the truth runs far deeper, even if she is not yet ready to face it.

Originally designed as a weapon, Naja bears little hesitation toward violence, yet beneath that edge lies a quiet empathy for those she travels with. Clever and cautious, she navigates the world carefully, revealing loyalty and compassion only to those she trusts, while carrying the weight of a past she cannot fully remember, and likely never will.

x'zumi sizha

the reluctant warrior

X’Zumi Sizha was born in Loch Seld in Ala Mhigo, but her earliest memories, however, are not of rolling hills or the warmth of family hearths, but of fire and chaos. The Garlean invasion that tore her home apart forced her family south, leaving behind everything they had known to find safety in the slums of Ul’dah.

Life in the city was harsh and unforgiving, especially when poor in a city that coveted gil. Survival required more than luck, as Zumi quickly learned. She learned to navigate Ul’dah’s sprawling streets with a mix of charm and cunning. Quick hands and a quicker tongue kept her and her family fed, and a stubborn streak prevented her from bowing under the weight of poverty.

Yet even amidst the struggle, Zumi found ways to shine. Early on, she discovered that a bright smile often opened more doors than scowling ever could. She crafted a persona of sunshine and warmth, one that could carry her through negotiations, street scrapes, and the small kindnesses she occasionally extended to strangers who reminded her of better days. It was a mask, certainly, but one she wore with purpose.
When the Calamity struck, the world she had managed to hold together for herself and her twin brother collapsed. Their mother and youngest brother perished not long after the Calamity struck, leaving Zumi and her brother alone in a world suddenly heavier than either could have imagined. The grief was suffocating, so much so that Zumi and her brother made the choice to leave Eorzea behind and begin life as wandering adventurers, seeking the experience of that life and perhaps a way to reconcile their loss.

When the time came to return to Eorzea, it was strangely nostalgic, the same and yet, not at all. Zumi and her brother returned not as the frightened children who had once run from loss and death, but as seasoned adventurers, carrying both the lessons of survival and the scars of that loss.

It was during this time, as the two built their reputation as adventurers in Eorzea, that Zumi’s path began to intertwine with forces beyond her understanding. Primals were more rampant than ever, the people scared and uncertain. A strange Miqo'te began following her around, strangely obsessed with the color of her aether. Though strange, Zumi felt a weird kinship with the woman and kept trying to reach out, no matter how much Naja pulled away.

As the Warrior of Light, Zumi’s return to Eorzea was both a culmination of her past and the opening of a new chapter. Every scar she carried, every hardship she had faced, and every lesson learned from years of wandering became tools she wielded alongside her courage and her weapons. The city streets of Ul’dah, the distant lands she had traversed, and the bonds she had forged along the way all converged in the moment she stepped forward into her destiny.

From the chaos of her childhood to the quiet strength of her years as a wanderer, Zumi has become a beacon for those around her. Her soul is a light that refuses to be extinguished, even in the face of darkness. And as the challenges of Eorzea continue to rise, she steps forward, ready not only to face what comes but to shape it, alongside those she trusts and those whose destinies are entwined with her own.

personality

X’Zumi Sizha is fiercely determined, but resilent, shaped by a life of loss and hardship. Outwardly, she wears a bright, cheerful persona meant to fool the entire world which masks her internal fears and insecurities. Beneath that warmth lies a guarded, introspective individual who struggles to let people get close, fearing both loss and the weight of her own powers. She struggles between her role as the Warrior of Light and her true self. The responsibility of heroism often conflicts with her personal desires, leaving her torn between duty and authenticity. Her courage is quiet but unwavering, and though she often relies on wit or humor to navigate difficult situations, she carries a deep empathy and moral awareness that guides her decisions.Zumi’s dual nature—bright and approachable on the outside, cautious and insecure within—makes her someone who inspires trust while quietly wrestling with the question of who she is beneath the mask.

naja vashai

the allagan weapon

Deep within the silent machinery of the ancient Allagan Empire, Naja Vashai lay in stasis for centuries, one of the prototype “combat charmers”, designed to be weapon and assassin both. Her body had been infused with voidsent aether, her mind fractured intentionally with a partial, unstable Echo, a cage meant to enforce total obedience.

When the Crystal Tower was excavated in recent times, her pod was uncovered, intact beneath layers of crystal and time. The Sons of Saint Coinach believed her a survivor of a forgotten age. The truth was darker: she had been created, molded into a weapon without consent or memory.

Her awakening was chaos made flesh. Memories, embedded fragments of lives she was designed to surpass, collided like jagged glass. The researchers who had come to study her pod were unprepared for the surge of rage, confusion, and raw instinct that erupted the moment they opened her chamber. When her void-tainted Echo flared, it killed with precision. Each fell before her, victims of reflex and instinct.

It was in the aftermath, when she first glimpsed Zumi, that Naja realized something crucial: she needed more aether. A lot of it. If she was to control herself, if she was ever to be more than the weapon she had been made to be, she would have to grow stronger, somehow, and Zumi’s presence marked the standard she could not yet reach.

Outside the Tower, her powers fully manifested. The void within her coalesced into an avatar: a living, writhing shadow drawn from her essence. It mirrored her thoughts, feeding on her aether, amplifying the fractures of her Echo. She became hyper-aware of other Echo users, drawn to their strength, attuned to the subtlest tremors of aether. Over time, she developed a dangerous habit: killing those with rare or potent Echoes, convinced she could restore her own fractured gift. Whether it was true or self-delusion, she had done it enough times to believe it.

Yet Naja was not without rules. She never harmed the innocent. She avoided cruelty, never prolonged suffering, and instinctively protected children and tribes, as though they were fragments of a world she might have belonged to. She killed only those she judged dangerous or useful. Each death was swift, a ritual necessity to maintain herself. Her morality was narrow, sharp, and terrifying in its precision. She had been made to kill without hesitation but in the faintest way, she claimed a sliver of choice for herself.

Moments of instinctive compassion occasionally pierced her armor. When a voidsent lunged at a child near Revenant’s Toll, she struck without pause. She could not admit that it was anything more than survival. And yet the memory of the child’s wide, frightened eyes lingered, flickering in her fractured mind. For the first time, something within her refused to be fully suppressed.

It was Zumi who unsettled her most. Naja sensed something in the Warrior of Light’s aether that cut through the chaos of her fractured mind. Unlike others, Zumi did not provoke hunger or fear; she created a paradox. Naja felt drawn to her, even as she resisted, as though the Echo inside her recognized a stabilizing pattern it could not ignore.

Her past was a lattice of violence, cruelty, and design, yet it had left her with a strange, reflective clarity. She knew the cost of her power, the danger of her instincts, the fragility of her own unstable aether. She saw in Zumi someone forged by circumstance, shaped by choice, carrying burdens yet wielding strength with compassion.
And yet Naja remained apart, unwilling to fully intersect with another’s path, haunted by the knowledge that she had been made to kill, that every fleeting connection could fracture under the weight of her nature. She existed in the shadows, moving across Eorzea as a hunter of the aether-rich, a phantom of the old world no one remembered. She was careful, calculating, and lethal but despite herself, capable of instinctive protection, small, unclaimed kindnesses, and moments of unspoken recognition.

Naja Vashai is a weapon shaped by imperial ambition and voidsent power, yet within her lingers a faint possibility of choice. A sliver of a path where she could one day become more than the sum of her shattered shards.

personality

Shaped by a mysterious past and infused with turbulent voidsent energy, Naja approaches the world with careful observation and measured action. She has learned to rely on her instincts and intellect, analyzing every situation before moving, and rarely acting without purpose. Beneath this careful exterior lies a quiet strength, one that allows her to face challenges others might shy away from and to persevere even when the odds seem insurmountable.

Naja does not trust, nor wants to learn to trust. She does however, feel deep empathy for those she travels with, mostly just Zumi.

Though she never thinks twice about violence, she holds back when Zumi tells her to. The two make a crazy duo, perfectly complementing each other's strengtrhs and weaknesses.

mirabelle penrose

the reluctant queen

Born into the gilded halls of Nornia’s royal palace, Mirabelle Penrose was raised under the shadow of her father’s tyranny. King Alaric Penrose, once a noble ruler Mirabelle admired, fell under the sway of his captain of the guard. Manipulated and corrupted, Alaric became a puppet king, ruling with cruelty and fear.

Mirabelle grew up watching her people suffer, her own childhood marked by isolation and whispers of rebellion. Though she was bound by duty and bloodline, she carried within her a spark of defiance.

The Rise of Rebellion

As Nornia’s suffering deepened, Mirabelle began to gather allies in her travels. Among them was Oliver Fang, a palace servant whose true identity she never suspected. He was a spy sent by one of Nornia’s many enemies to assassinate the royal family. When Mirabelle saved his life, her father deemed her compassion a weakness and exiled her to the borderlands to harden her into the ruthless warrior he wanted to succeed him. Oliver’s crimes were laid upon her as punishment, and in gratitude, and maybe a little guilt, he pledged his life to her service.

Through their travels, Mirabelle and Oliver forged an unbreakable bond, becoming companions and confidants. Though Oliver never revealed his original mission, his loyalty to her never wavered. Together they amassed allies through daring deeds and hard-won victories, building a network strong enough to challenge the crown itself.

When the kingdom’s despair reached its breaking point, Mirabelle led her forces in open rebellion against the palace and her father. From the ruins of his rule, Mirabelle claimed the throne, crowned not by tradition but by the fire of rebellion and the strength of her own will.

from the throne to storywalking

At the pinnacle of her triumph, lightning struck and Mirabelle Penrose was unbound from the confines of her own story. No longer bound to the pages of a single tale, she now walks between worlds, chasing adventure and chaos wherever they call to her.Her style is marked by unpredictability. Left to her own devices, she often meets challenges with reckless violence, but when tempered by Oliver Fang’s steady counsel, her wild energy sharpens into unstoppable resolve. Together, they balance impulse with strategy, ensuring Nornia flourishes under her fierce and unyielding spirit.

Mirabelle Penrose is more than a queen. She is the rebel who toppled tyranny, the monarch who defies convention, and the adventurer who walks between stories. Her life is not shaped by tradition but by fire, freedom, and sheer force of will.

Those who stand beside her are swept into legend.

Those who stand against her don't live to tell the tale.

personality

Mirabelle Penrose is bold, restless, and unapologetically unpredictable. She thrives on adventure and chaos, often meeting challenges with reckless force and a quick trigger. Carefree to the point of being careless, she delights in throwing herself into danger simply to see what happens next. Her humor is sharp, her temper quick, and her courage undeniable, much to Oliver's chagrin.

Yet beneath the wild exterior lies a queen of iron will. When tempered by Oliver Fang’s steady counsel, Mirabelle’s impulsive energy transforms into unstoppable determination. She is capable of great focus when the stakes demand it, and her ability to rally allies through sheer charisma and daring deeds has made her both beloved and feared.

Mirabelle rejects the rigid traditions of monarchy, preferring freedom, fire, and fun over ceremony and restraint. She is a rebel at heart, a monarch by conquest, and an adventurer by choice. Her unpredictability makes her dangerous to her enemies, but it also makes her reign vibrant and alive. It's a constant reminder that Nornia is ruled by a spirit too fierce to be bound.

Outside of being queen and battle, she enjoys dragging Oliver out on spontaneous adventures in the city, or getting a really good milkshake from the local ice cream shop. She keeps her attention on the here and now, and tries not to dwell to much on the past or what might be in the future.

oliver fang

the briar knight

Oliver Fang’s beginnings are shrouded in secrecy. Born far from Nornia, he was trained not as a servant but as a spy . He was dispatched by one of the kingdom’s many enemies to infiltrate the palace in Nornia and assassinate the royal family to put an end to their relentless conquest. Disguised as a humble attendant, he waited for the moment to strike, learning the ins and outs of the palace routines.

But when the moment came, he faltered for the first time in his life. When Mirabelle Penrose saved his life, and even took care of him when he was wounded, his perception of the princess changed him.

Her father, deeming her compassion a weakness to be purged, exiled her to the borderlands to learn what true warfare was, and laid Oliver’s life upon her as punishment. If he stepped out of line, it would be Mirabelle who took the punishment.

Unable to live with this newfound guilt over his actions, he decided to stay with her, and protect her from her enemies, binding his own fate to hers.

the queen's knight

And thus began their unlikely partnership. Though Mirabelle had no idea of Oliver's true mission, she didn't really care either. He became her closest companion. His loyalty to her proved unwavering.

Where Mirabelle was reckless, Oliver was deliberate and careful. Where she was impulsive, he was calculating. Together, they forged a bond of trust that transcended duty, becoming unlikely partners and inseparable allies.

Oliver's counsel tempers Mirabelle's tendency to be wild and reckless. He's the reason to her resolve, a quiet strength that helps ensure their missions are victorious.

the silent protector

Mirabelle's charisma garnered her allies, but it was Oliver's quiet support that cemented her victory over her father. Once an enemy of Nornia, he joined with its princess to fight for its future, turning his unlikely partner into a queen. Now as she wanders from story to story, he stays at her side, hoping one day to repay her for her kindness to the once solitary assassin who was sent to kill her. He also serves as her protector, knowing that there may be one day when either his country or other enemies of Nornia choose to try to send another to finish the job he refused to do.

the rebellious assassin's devotion

Oliver Fang's quiet strength and unwavering loyalty make him indispensable to Mirabelle’s reign and honestly, her life in general. Though his past remains hidden and probably forever will be if he has anything to say about it, his present is defined by devotion. He is a man who chose friendship over betrayal, and in doing so, helped define who Mirabelle Penrose would become.

personality

Oliver Fang is calm, deliberate, and quietly steadfast. Where Mirabelle thrives on chaos, Oliver finds strength in order. He approaches challenges with patience and strategy, preferring careful planning over reckless action. His wit is dry, his temper slow to rise, and his loyalty unshakable. He is the steady hand that reins in Mirabelle’s wild impulses, often saving her from herself, though he rarely takes credit for it.

Beneath his composed exterior lies a man burdened by secrets. His past as a spy remains hidden from Mirabelle, and though it weighs on him, he has no intention of ever telling her the truth, and instead channels that guilt into devotion. His focus is sharp when the stakes are high, and his ability to see the broader picture makes him indispensable.

Oliver rejects glory and recognition, content to serve in the shadows. He is a seneschal by title, but in truth he is Mirabelle’s anchor, the one who ensures her fire does not consume her kingdom. His quiet strength makes him dangerous to her enemies, because he ensures she always wins the day, one way or another.

Outside of duty and war, Oliver enjoys the rare moments of peace Mirabelle drags him into, though he would never admit it. Whether it’s wandering the city at her side or sharing a milkshake at the local ice cream shop she loves, he endures her spontaneity with a reluctant smile, though he's never offguard. While she laughs, he watches the shadows, because no one knows when another like him will show their face. Unlike Mirabelle who lives for the present, he dwells often on the past, but he finds solace in the present, especially when it is spent with her.
